This bot started out as a Maya model for the most part with just a small amount of ZBrush to add some small tech and extra cut lines.

The bot below is all ZBrush. Later I was able to clean up the mesh with Topogun for retopology. Once that was taken care of I had clean flowing edge loops on the geometry that made subdividing and up resing any of the pieces a breeze.
